Amy O’Brien is a school partnership liaison and program coordinator at Washington University’s Institute for School Partnership. She holds a graduate certificate in non-profit management from Washington University and a bachelor of science in restaurant management from the University of Illinois. She is currently serving her second term on the board and has achieved Advanced Board Member certification. O’Brien serves on the board’s Policy Committee. She and her family have lived in the district since 1993 and she is the parent of two recent graduates.

Emerson Smith

Emerson Smith and his wife, Paula, have one child at the High School and one High School graduate. He is vice president of the American Eagle/Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union. Smith has served as chairman of the Juvenile Conference Committee of St. Louis County, a member of the Board of Adjustment for the city of Webster Groves and a member of the school district’s Finance Advisory Committee. He currently serves as vice president of the Board of Education and a member of the Webster Community Arts Foundation Board of Directors.

David Addison

David Addison, a vice president and actuary with RGA Reinsurance Co., is serving his first term on the School Board. He is certified at the Advanced Board Member level by the Missouri School Boards’ Association. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Olin Business School at Washington University. He and his wife, Rhona, are active volunteers throughout the district. They have three children: a fourth grader at Clark and a sophomore and junior at the High School. He is a member of the district’s Meet and Confer Committee and represents the School Board on the Parks and Recreation Commission. He has liaison responsibilities between the School Board and Clark Elementary, Hudson Elementary and Webster Groves High School.

Jean Dugan

Jean Dugan and her husband Joe have one son attending Webster Groves High School and one who graduated in 2012. She has undergraduate degrees in journalism and political science from the University of North Dakota and a master’s degree in communications from Boston University. She teaches online communications classes for Columbia College. She previously worked as a public relations specialist for two area marketing firms and taught graduate-level classes at Webster University. After serving on several district committees, she joined the board in 2012.

Steven Loher

Steven Loher is serving his first term on the School Board and is certified as an Advanced Board Member by the Missouri School Boards’ Association. An alumnus of Webster Groves High School, he and his wife, Janet, are the parents of a High School student and live in Shrewsbury. He is Chief Financial Officer of G&W Engineering Corp. and an active volunteer in the district.  He also serves on the Shrewsbury Planning Commission.  He previously served on the boards of MO Creative Adventures (Destination Imagination) and the Gateway Disabled Ski Program.  He was also a member of the Our Little Haven Development Advisory Council.
