Dear ECEC Family,

Past office procedures have allowed us to be lenient with unpaid accounts, and families childcare services have not been suspended until the unpaid account was 60 days past due.  We found that the longer we allowed balances to grow, the more difficult it was for families to get back on track with payments.  Regrettably, we can no longer continue that business practice. 

Effective School Year 2009/2010 all accounts unpaid after the 15^th of any month will automatically be eligible for a suspension of childcare services.  We regret that this new policy must be implemented. We decided NOT to raise rates in 09-10 and therefore it is more important than ever to keep our collections in good standing.
