Student safety in any lab-oriented class must take priority over all matters pertaining to the course. Any risk to students is minimized if the program is designed with care and students follow appropriate safety precautions. In order to ensure safety, the students must abide by and follow all laboratory guidelines at all times. I sent a copy of the contract home with the students on the first day of school to be discussed with parents/guardians.  In order to participate in labs, this document must be signed and returned to me asap.  I have attacked a copy of the contract below for reference at any time.
