The newspaper writer, Mr. Murphy visited us
because he wanted to tell us something about writing. The things he
talked about were writing a newspaper. I liked that most of our
questions got answered, and he was very nice to us.
TATU, Teens Against Tobacco Use, visited us because they wanted to tell
us about cigarettes. The things they talked about were the things in
cigarettes. I learned that a drug is a substance that when taken
into the body changes the way a person acts, feels, and thinks.
Sarah, the woman who showed us all the different types of owls, visited
us because we were studying owl pellets in Science class. The things
she talked about were how many different types of owls there were in
the world. I learned that owls almost never scat (poop) while
they are flying.
Andy, the video conference man, visited us to talk about energy.
The things talked about were nuclear energy. I learned that we
got to do lots of experiments.
Judge Neill, a judge from St. Louis, MO, visited us to tell us about
the judicial branch of government. He talked about the trials he
had done. I liked that we got to be put in handcuffs. I learned
that we have a big document named the Magna Carta.
All of our visitors came to Hudson School to teach us something new. |
