Be a Tutor, Be a Mentor, Be a Friend

Older adults who would like to share the gift of reading with young children in the Webster Groves School District have the opportunity to participate in the OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring Program.

Each year, the district holds a training session in August. While the focus is on assisting first through third grade pupils with reading, the ideal outcome is establishment of a trusting relationship that will help the child become a better student. Tutors meet with the children for one hour, once a week. If you are interested, please call 961-1233.
