The kids are studying three areas in this unit; forces, magnets, and simple machines.  With forces we are looking at not only what a force is, but also digging deeper into magnetic forces.  This is where the study of magnets and the forces they have on other objects comes into study.  We end the unit with looking at simple machines and how they help reduce the forces needed to do things.
